Based on a best-selling novel by Min Jin Lee, the trailer gives a glimpse of the journey of a Korean immigrant family through Korea, Japan and the US. It’s a story of forbidden love with an international Asian cast that features Oscar Award-winning actress Yuh-Jung Youn as older Sunja, Lee Minho as Hansu, Jin Ha as Solomon, Minha Kim as teenage Sunja, Anna Sawai as Naomi, Eunchae Jung as young Kyunghee, Inji Jeong as Yangjin, Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews, Junwoo Han as Yoseb, Kaho Minami as Etsuko, Steve Sanghyun Noh as Isak, Soji Arai as Mozasu, and, Yu-na Jeon as Young Sunja. The trailer does not reveal a lot about the story but it revolves around the theme of family, love, triumph, fate and resilience.

Talking about the Pachinko trailer, it mainly focuses on the struggles people face every day to survive in this world and how they can cross any boundaries for their families, it surely gonna make us weep. And can we talk about how Lee Minho is looking so handsome in that white suit? The quick yet sweet moment between Hansu and Sunja where he touches her hand slightly without anyone knowing is just so adorable, this couple is going to break our hearts without a doubt.

Pachinko is written and executive produced by Soo Hugh (The Terror, The Killing). The series is all set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on March 25, 2022. The first three episodes will release first followed by new episodes each Friday during its eight-episode season through April 29, 2022.
