‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 Trailer Reactions: Fans Already Have A Ship Name For Kate Sharma And Anthony Bridgerton!
As the world was celebrating Valentine’s Day, Netflix decided to bless us with the first trailer of the highly-anticipated second season of Bridgerton featuring Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey. The minute and a half long clip is narrated by none other than the mysterious Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews) as she tells the viewers that she’s been honing her skills till now or should we say “sharpening her knives” for the members of London’s ton. Hmm, that’s so intriguing!

Released on February 14, the trailer starts with the member of London’s elite receiving the gossip column of Lady Whistledown including Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jesse), Mrs Fetherington (Polly Walker) and Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh). The second season of Bridgerton is based on the events of the second book in Julia Quinn’s series, ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’. It follows the story of the eldest Bridgerton sibling Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, and his quest to find a bride who will make a suitable Viscountess. He initially chooses Edwina Sharma, played by Charithra Chandran, as the ideal candidate, but he is determined to not fall in love with her. Edwina’s older half-sister Kate played by Simone Ashley is here to rescue her sister from Anthony Bridgerton, but in the whole mess, it looks like they end up falling for each other!
The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Lady Daphne Basset née Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), who is returning without her handsome Duke Simon (Regé-Jean Page).

As soon as the trailer of Bridgerton was released, fans started expressing their excitement on social media platforms and they can’t stop gushing over Kate and Anthony. who they’ve already given a ship name!
