5 Thoughts I Had About The Trailer Of K-Drama ‘Our Beloved Summer’ Starring Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi. Will Ex-Lovers Reunite Again?
Netflix released the trailer for the upcoming Korean drama Our Beloved Summer on November 25. The romantic drama stars Parasite actor Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi from Itaewon Class in lead roles. They play high school sweethearts who have a messy break-up, but fate brings them together again for a documentary project. The drama stars Kim Da-mi and Choi Woo-shik are very close friends in real life and it will be interesting to watch them in this K-drama. As a fan, I am so excited!
I watched the trailer of the Our Beloved Summer and here are my 5 thoughts about it:
1. The plot revolves around a high school couple, a typical storyline for a K-drama, but this is quite unique because we get to see the older versions of both the characters retelling the story in a mature way. And there’s a chance that they might fall in love again!

2. An enemies-to-lovers trope is absolutely *chef’s kiss*! At first, they both hate each other but as they spend some time together they fall in love. I loved the part in the trailer that shows them bickering; it is giving me major Rahul and Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai vibes but in a good way! The chemistry between the actors is making me ship them already.

3. The background score of Our Beloved Summer sounds perfectly romantic and warm and I cannot wait to hear the full OST which is produced by music composer Nam Hye Seung, who has worked on hit soundtracks for marquee K-dramas including Goblin and Crash Landing On You and others. So, my interest is already piqued!

4. The visuals of this K-drama are no joke. Choi Woo-shik’s soft boy looks and the beautiful Kim Da-mi just steal my heart in every scene. The school uniform really suits them and when they reunite again after many years, you can see the change in their looks and it only gets better.
5. The thrill is still on! Although, we know that the couple gets separated, we don’t know the reason. The trailer does a good job in sharing a glimpse of the plot without revealing the whole story. It is making me so curious and excited to watch the show!

A song from Kim Taehyung a.k.a V from BTS in the OST, no way! The fact that Choi Woo-shik and Kim Taehyung are best friends is not hidden from anyone. We have heard the ‘Sweet Night’, so I have high expectations from this song. The sweet and warm tone of V will be like the cherry on top of the cute love story of Our Beloved Summer. Just release the song already!
The cast of Our Beloved Summer also includes Kim Sung-Cheol and Roh Jeong-eui. The series is a coming-of-age story about a couple who has broken up but are forced to come together again when a documentary they shot in high school goes viral. It is slated to premiere on SBS TV on December 6, 2021, and will air on Mondays and Tuesdays. It will also be available for streaming on Netflix.
