“Women Shouldn’t Have To Compromise Between Love, Family, And Career,” Says ‘Masaba Masaba’ Director Sonam Nair

We are living in a world, in an era rather, where women and men have just been begun treated as equals. Yes, I know we have a long way to go before this is normalised. There are so many things that women have to tackle once they enter their 30s. From finding a stable career to climbing the ladder of success at the workplace to trying not to succumb to the pressure of getting married or even trying to find a compatible partner, life just becomes a vicious circle of these two aspects playing back-to-back like a broken record. Netflix’s series Masaba Masaba’s first season perfectly captured this part of a woman’s life and the audience loved the show for it. As the show is now gearing up for its season, director Sonam Nair sheds light on what season two of Masaba Masaba will talk about.

Sonam Nair said that the first season was based on the theme that it is okay to be messy and not have life figured out all the time. Speaking about the theme of season two, Sonam said that this time they have focused on women not having to compromise and choose between their careers, love and family. She further said women would be able to ‘want it all and have it all’. While concluding, she said, this time, the show will have a lot more ‘glamour, fashion, drama, chaos’.
