‘Masaba Masaba’ 2 Trailer: The Hot Mess Mother-Daughter Duo Must Balance Work And Love Life

One of my all-time favourite slice-of-life sitcoms in recent times has to be Masaba Masaba. Season one of the show told the story of the fashion designer who was trying to come to terms and straddle two worlds – the world of fashion and the family world – and she was doing all of this while trying to make a foray back into the dating world. The show starring Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta as themselves was so relatable that it resonated with Gen Z and the millennial generation at the same time. I mean, seeing how engaging it is, I’m really not surprised. And ever since the end of season one, I’ve been waiting for season 2 and though the second season is not out yet, the next best thing is here – the trailer of Masaba Masaba.

Yep, on July 16, Netflix took to its social media account and dropped the trailer of Masaba Masaba season 2 and my my does it look good. From the very first watch, it looks like the Indian fashion designer has hesitantly but surely entered the dating world and is now trying hard to find a balance between her work life and dating life – something all of us can relate to.

The trailer of Masaba Masaba season 2 shows the eccentric mother-daughter duo dealing with new highs and lows in aspects of career avenues, new (and maybe some old) love interests, grief, taking back control of their lives, etc. – and all of this while entering some unknown territories. The season looks to focus on something that most of us have felt at least once in our lives – why is it when the career is going great, our personal lives suck or vice versa?

What makes the trailer even more exciting is the fact that in this season of Masaba Masaba we will see stars other than the designer and Neena Gupta – like Neil Bhoopalam, Kusha Kapila, Rytasha Rathore, Ram Kapoor, Barkha Singh, Armaan Khera, and Kareema Barry. This season is all about whether the fashion designer can have it all – a great career and a great personal life.

 Season 2 will stream on Netflix from July 29.
