Koffee With Karan S7 Ep 9 Review: Lots Of Wild Tiger Shroff, Not So Much Kriti Sanon. FYI, They Did Not Reveal It All On The Couch!
Karan Johar is back once again this week to spill some tea with Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff in episode 9 of Koffee With Karan Season 7. Now, as much as we love this talk show, season 7 has not been the talk of the town for good things. Unlike every other season that has given us loads of gossip, drama and confessions, this season has been comparatively dull. But after watching the trailer of episode 9 featuring Kriti and Tiger, we all had some hopes to get some hot tea and a sneak peek into their lives. From Tiger going commando to Kriti Sanon’s love life, this episode has loads of goss but not enough for our taste. Psst…did you know Kriti first auditioned for SOTY but never landed the role because she wasn’t as good of an actor (according to her) but she landed her role in Heropanti soon enough after she worked on her acting skills.

Why Did Tiger Shroff Never Hit On Kriti Sanon?
After filmmaker Karan Johar asked Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff about their bonding during Heropanti and asked them if they ever dated or hooked up (kaafi distasteful question TBH), the duo shared that while they did bond, they never shared a romantic relationship. Kriti and Tiger it took them a while to get comfortable with each other and get to know each other. In fact, they first exchanged numbers after the first schedule of the film got over. Kriti also revealed that Tiger never hit on her because he was extremely shy. Recalling an incident from the shoot, Kriti shared that when Tiger had to give her a peck on the cheeks for a scene, the actor was so shy that he started trembling. Well, okay then.
Tiger Shroff’s Zodiac Sign Is Ruled By Venu But Love Life Ka Kya?
Despite being poked and prodded by Karan Johar to speak up about his relationship with Disha Patani, Tiger Shroff categorically denied dating her and maintained that they’re just “good friends” and the filmmaker called it “so last season” to say that. Well, for once I agree with KJo. Tiger shared that his zodiac sign’s ruling planet is Venus and his lucky number is 6 which means that his sign is governed by love and adoration and is all about pleasure. But sadly, the actor did not share his pyaar ke kisse that we wanted to hear. Well, Venus or not, pleasure does seem to be a part of Tiger’s life. The actor shared that he’s a member of the mile-high club. Can we please have some tips on how to do it? Psst…his idea of a “wild time” has a lot to do with getting steamy in the gym and sauna.
Koffee Couch Manifestations With Matchmaker Karan Johar
We’ve all known Karan Johar to be the matchmaker of tinsel town and he continues to play cupid as he asks celebs to manifest love and relationships on the Koffee couch known for turning manifestations into reality. When asked about an actress he would wanna date, Tiger Shroff may or may not have manifested Shraddha Kapoor. On the other hand, Aditya Roy Kapur seems to have turned into the hot topic of Koffee With Karan as he was named yet again by another actress. Kriti Sanon not only confessed her crush on Aditya Roy Kapur and manifested him but she also hinted that things have been getting hot and happening with the actor. In fact, Karan offered to play matchmaker and speed things up for the actress and her crush as well.
Why So Much Tiger And Why So Little Kriti?
TBH, Tiger Shroff seemed to be in full form and even though he did not reveal his true relationship status with Disha Patani and Bastian, he did share a lot about his personal life that has us tripping. Speaking of his films not working at the Box Office, Tiger shared that it makes him feel “depressed” and revealed that he’s an emotional eater and turns to stress eating in moments like that. I’m not saying that he cannot be “depressed” but I’m not a fan of that word being thrown around so casually in times when people are actually struggling with mental health issues. Having said that, the actor did say that he tends to channel his negative emotions and anger in the gym, while he dances and in his work. Well, that’s a healthy way of dealing with things. Tiger also had a lot of other wild and fun stuff to share. He revealed that he prefers going commando on a daily basis because he likes to be free.

While Tiger was a lot of fun to hear, Kriti Sanon seemed to remain in a shell for a reason we don’t completely understand or agree with. The actress spoke about the fact that she did not do Karan Johar’s Lust Stories because it was a short film about orgasm and her mother was not very comfortable with it at that time. NGL, but if I, as a fully grown adult and financially independent woman, were to take work-related tips from my mother, I would not be writing strong opinions or anything about sex or orgasms.
Verdict: Can We Please Have More Of Kriti?
To begin with, the rapid-fire round was okay-okay and did not make much of a mark except for when Tiger opened up about his *ahem ahem* love life and personal choices. Kaafi interesting. But the entire episode fell flat when it came to Kriti Sanon. It seemed like she remained comfortably in her shell because her ‘middle class’ desi parents will be watching the show and she did make that abundantly clear after she repeated it a few times. In fact, she also confessed to lying on the Koffee couch as her parents will be watching. Apart from calling Tiger’s Instagram handle a thrist trap and speaking of her crush on Aditya Roy Kapur, it seemed like the actress did not open up very much. Tiger, on the other hand, was a delight to watch. At least he had some hot and happening goss for us but we still remain unsatiated. Tiger is roaring and Kriti is….
