‘Lust Stories 2’ Will Reportedly Star Kajol, Konkona Sensharma Among Others
Remember the popular Netflix show, Lust Stories, that made headlines for showcasing stories of sexual empowerment and lust? Well, it looks like there’s some good news. The current buzz is that season 2 of Lust Stories is coming (pun intended) really soon. But hold on, we’ve got more. It looks like the second season will feature Kajol. Yepp, you read that right. Kajol is the one actress who we continue to love and while we wish we’d get to see her more on our screen, the actress consciously limits the film work that she takes on. But it looks like this time she has a lot on her plate.
After making her OTT debut on Netflix with Renuka Shahane’s social drama Tribhanga in 2021, Kajol will be next seen in the family drama Salaam Venky and then in an untitled Disney+ Hotstar web series directed by Supam Varma. And now the buzz is that she will also be a part of season 2 of Netflix India’s critically acclaimed anthology, Lust Stories. According to an exclusive report by Peeping Moon, sources have claimed that the actress will be seen headlining a short film directed by Badhaai Do fame director Amit Sharma and has already finished shooting for it as well. The report suggests that the short film was shot in Uttar Pradesh in a 10-day long shoot. Speaking of Kajol’s character, the report says that she will be playing a fresh role of a bold character and is extremely excited to have explored something new that she hasn’t tried before.

The source also told the news portal that season 2 of Lust Stories also has 4 interesting stories like season 1 and these stories too explore the different dimensions of love, lust, power and status. Konkona Sensharma, R Balki, Amit Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh have been, reportedly, roped in for these stories of unapologetic women and their imperfections and desires said the source quoted by Peeping Moon. Apart from Kajol, Amit and Konkona have also wrapped their shoot but Balki and Sujoy are yet to film. The rest of the star cast has not been revealed but there have been speculations that this Netflix anthology will have an ensemble cast with some big names and everything has been kept under wraps by the OTT platform.

Rumours also suggest that Ronnie Screwvala and Ashi Dua are producing season 2 of Lust Stories under their respective banners of RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment. For the unversed, season 1 of the Netflix anthology was directed by Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee. It also had an ensemble cast of Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sanjay Kapoor and many others.
