Exciting K-Dramas Releasing In December That You Can Binge-Watch While Saying Goodbye To 2021!

I’m a huge k-drama fan and I feel like if I hadn’t started watching Korean dramas, I would have missed out on so many amazing things. December is finally here with many exciting new dramas about to release. And I have already made a watchlist to binge on while waiting for Santa to finally deliver my present on Christmas and writing those mandatory new year messages and wishes to my relatives.

And because t’is the season of giving, here is the list of all the exciting K-dramas, releasing in December that you can also binge-watch as this year comes to an end.

1. Snowdrop

Cast: Jung HaeIn, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Jang SeungJo, Yoon SeAh.

Snowdrop is one of the most anticipated dramas of 2021. It is a lovestory of SuHo and YoungCho set in Seoul in 1987. They both are in university, and they first meet when SuHo appears in her dormitory covered in blood, YoungCho helps him to hide in this crisis. This drama combine a fan-favorite Korean actor with a stunning acting-idol, but I’m excited to see BLACKPINK JiSoo’s acting debut. It is also going to be interesting to see a portrait of Seoul during the ’80s.

The story is known to be based on the memoirs of a man who escaped from a political camp in North Korea. Already keeping tons of tissue papers ready!

2. When Flowers Bloom,I Think Of The Moon

Cast: Yoo SeungHo, HyeRi, Byeon WooSeok, and Kang MiNa

When Flowers Blooms, I Think Of The Moon tells the romance of a strict inspector who arrests alcohol smugglers and a smuggling lady who wants to change her life by brewing liquors when alcohol was prohibited in the Joseon era. This drama is highly-anticipated for the fun dynamic between the two main leads. They are said to be in a cat and mouse type of a relationship where they are constantly and very literally in pursuit of each other.

It is one of the historical dramas and I’m excited to watch this drama because historical k-dramas are the best ones.

3. The Silent Sea

Cast: Gong Yoo, Bae DooNa, Lee Joon.

The Silent Sea explores a perilous 24-hour mission on the moon, in which space explorers try to retrieve samples from an abandoned research facility steeped in classified secrets. It will release on Netflix. Science-fiction in k-drama form, a match definitely made in heaven! The series promises to be thrilling and I’m excited to see how it captivates the global audience since the rise in popularity of Netflix Korea’s original dramas.

Gong Yoo and Bae DooNa’s acting is amazing, so I’m looking forward to watch this drama.

4. Our Beloved Summer

Cast: Choi WooShik, Kim DaMi, Kim SungCheol.

It is a love story of Choi Woong and Kook YeonSu, they are high school students who  are forced to work on a project together. They end up falling in love but they end their relationship . Then fate brings them together again after several years for a documentary project.

This drama is a feel-good watch and will unveil some interesting layers to the characters.

5. Bad And Crazy

Cast: Lee Dong Wook and Wi HaJun

Bad and Crazy combines crime and comedy together. The story follows the meeting of a corrupt detective who will cross any line to succeed and a righteous, crazy man who faces injustice with a fist and want to become a hero. The two leads of this drama extremely handsome and seeing them both in action-filled roles will definitely make for an exciting and entertaining watch.

Lee Dong Wook from The Tale Of A Gumiho and Wi HaJun from Squid Game are internationally acclaimed actors. So, I’m quite excited.

6. Bulgasal: Immortal Souls

Cast: Lee JinWook, Kwon Nara, Gong SeungYeon, Lee Joon, UP10TION’s Kim WooSeok.

Bulgasal: Immortal Souls follows the beautiful but sad story of Dan Hwal. He was a human 600 years ago but has become an immortal. He was stabbed with a spear, burned with fire, and fell off a cliff, only feeling pain. The only thing left for Dan Hwal, who has lost everything, is his desire for revenge towards the woman who made him this way, Min SangWoon.
