First Look Of ‘Harry Potter’ Reunion Special Is Here! Look At Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson And Rupert Grint Together Again!
A few days ago, Harry Potter fans went crazy when they heard about a special reunion. Well, we have an update for all the Potterheads in the house. Recently, HBO Max released a first look from the upcoming special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The picture includes the leading cast Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. From the picture, it looks like the trio is having a conversation in the Gryffindor common room. Wow! This brings back so many memories.

The special program was taped at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London and is set to premiere on January 1, 2022. The reunion is organised to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the eight-movie series that started with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which was released in November 2001. According to the logline, “The retrospective special will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time.” Now, I’m really excited!
According to the press release, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will also feature Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (Tom Riddle aka Lord Voldemort), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Lupin), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James Phelps and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) who were also the part of the Harry Potter series. However, J.K. Rowling, the author of the book series, will not be interviewed in the special program because of her being surrounded by controversy related to her anti-trans comments. Although she will be shown in archival footage about the movies.
A few days ago, HBO Max also released a short trailer that didn’t include Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, or Rupert Grint, but teased other alumni like Coltrane who played the role of Hagrid, and Lewis who played the character of Neville Longbottom receiving their invitations to attend the special reunion.

As a huge Harry Potter fan, I’m really excited to watch the whole cast reuniting again for the special program but we will definitely miss the absence of Alan Rickma (Severus Snape), Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy), Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley), and Richard Harris (Albus Dumbledore).
