Elliot Page Talks About The Reaction After Coming Out As Trans Man, Says Transphobia Is Extreme

You know, sometimes people find it really difficult to accept themselves and I believe that it’s okay if they want to change themselves or their bodies if it makes them happy. However, some people find it extremely difficult and want to give their two cents when nobody for it. Recently, Elliot Page opened up about coming out as transgender and he said that many people supported him but he also received hatred from others after the transition.

Elliot Page talked about the reaction after he came out as trans in 2020. He said that he didn’t expected the reactions to be so big but it was what he had imagined. The Juno actor revealed that he received love and support from many people and hatred and cruelty from others after the transition. Elliot mentioned that the reactions were totally different from the time when he came out as gay in the year 2014. He added that transphobia is so extreme and the hate and cruelty are incessant.

Talking about the transition, Elliot Page said that the biggest joy is seeing your true self. He said that he knows he looks different to others, but to him, he has started to look like himself. We are so happy for him!
