Finally, the year 2021 is ending and we are all set to welcome 2022. A lot of people are out there chilling and celebrating but many of us like to look back at all the memories we made and all the experiences and moments we went through and I feel like it is always fun to relive those moments as the year ends. And Dia Mirza is just like us! This year was a roller coaster experience for Dia Mirza. To bid a farewell to 2021, she penned a heartfelt gratitude note that includes all her memorable moments of this year.

Dia Mirza posted a video on her social media account with a long caption. In her note, the Salam Mumbai actress expressed gratitude about becoming a mother to her son Avyaan. She also thanked the year 2021 for all the pleasant and difficult experiences she had including a near-death one when her baby was prematurely born. The video includes photos and videos from each month of the year. The video includes pictures from her wedding festivities, adorable photos with Vaibhav to cute moments with kids Avyaan and Samaira Rekhi. Dia surprised her fans with a recap of the year 2021. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Thank you #2021 for making me a Mother. It was year filled with incredible joy, a near-death experience, the early birth of our son and some very testing times. But the lessons are well learnt and the gratitude runs deep. The biggest learning – the toughest times don’t last. Breathe. Witness. Surrender. And be grateful. Every single day.”

In February 2021, Dia got married to Vaibhav Rekhi. The beautiful and intimate ceremony was held at her house with only family and close friend as wedding guests. She welcomed her son Avyaan in May 2021. However, due to premature birth and Dia’s health issue, both of them were hospitalised. Dia had announced Avyaan’s birth in July when they came back home.
