I have never been fond of watching the very famous reality show Bigg Boss 16. But well, unlike me there are many fans of the show, and its popularity has made the show come back on television almost every year. But this time while the show airs its 16th season, it has delivered disappointment by having the #MeToo accused Sajid Khan. On one hand, where many celebrities have kept their mouth shut on this matter, there are some others who are stepping up to speak against this questionable and controversial decision by the makers of the show. The recent one on this list is Devoleena Bhattacharjee who has not only bashed Sajid Khan but has also put out some relevant questions about this topic.

In a recent interview, Devoleena Bhattacharjee who was also a wild card entry in the last season of Bigg Boss raised her voice against the participation of Sajid Khan. Devoleena put forth her opinion by saying she was heartbroken to see a sexual predator like Sajid on the show, a man who has been accused of abuse by 9 women. The actress also raised this as a reason why abused victims do not get the courage to talk about these crimes publicly. She also said that Sajid Khan is now proving to be a “hero” on the show, and also wondered where is our society heading towards where national TV is encouraging the participation of a #MeToo accused.

Simultaneously, the actor also bashed the show, Bigg Boss for not keeping any ethical boundaries on who can come on the show and who cannot. Devoleena clearly stated that the show will not allow anyone who is privileged, even if he has done shameful deeds. The actress went on to even say that she can soon reach where she will no longer be watching the show, as per the news.

Well, I was glad to hear Devoleena’s take on the whole controversy of Sajid Khan on Bigg Boss. She did put out a lot of raging points through her statements like the one, about victims being discouraged by seeing their harassers getting fame through such publicity. Clearly, Sajid Khan on Bigg Boss has made all the efforts and courage of #MeToo victims go in vain. And, just imagine the feeling to see him so casually on the show gaining all the limelight back again. No, we are not supposed to give such a man this much importance!
