Designer Rohit Verma Reveals He Was Sexually Exploited By His Uncle At The Age Of 8
Sexual assault is a topic of concern that no longer is restricted to gender. It is an issue that has created a deep impact on many people across the country, especially if they have been a victim of it during their childhood. Some openly speak up about such horrific incidents, and some cannot face this truth and decide to just live with it. Both of them have their reasons. However, designer Rohit Verma chose to be the latter one in this case and has revealed some shocking incidents from his past that are really distressing. In a recent interview, Rohit opened up about being a rape victim at the age of 8, and this cruel act was not carried out by a stranger, but rather his own uncle.

Rohit Verma, who is a celebrity designer was also seen in Bigg Boss 3, from where he rose to fame. While talking to Siddarth Kanan about his past, Rohit mentioned that even though he comes from a good family, they all have a very regressive set of ideas. Furthermore, he added that his own uncle, “real uncle” sexually abused him when he was 8. Rohit also revealed that his uncle used to force him into wearing sarees and putting hot wax on his body, and also said that he used to do horrendous sexual assault acts. As per the sources, Rohit Verma could not say these things to his parents because he was scared and silently bore the torture for 2-3 years.

Rohit Verma showed the courage of finally speaking about this in open. However, there still might be so many unsaid incidents that have happened with children or have been a disturbing part of someone’s life. Many like Rohit, have had the fear of speaking about this to their parents because they might not believe their child as it is about a relative. This is a very sad situation, and Rohit’s revelation highlights how parents should make a child secure enough to talk about these things freely, otherwise, it will create a deep scar in their minds that the parents will never be able to fill.
