I struggled with a lot of confidence issues and insecurities growing up. And I still do face a lot of them to this day. But, there are a few things that I am 100% confident about is the fact that I can rock almost any lip colour under the son and look amazing doing it. And a lot of this confidence is attributed to the fact that I found myself drawn to darker, eye catch and unconventional lip colours. You might usually see me slacking with my eye makeup (or even my base at times) but my lipstick is always on point.
I have come across a lot of people who are not very confident about wearing lipsticks or finding the right shade for themselves. And I have also heard people say outrageous things like “red lipsticks don’t suit me” because I am of the opinion that there is a red lipstick for everyone if you know your undertone and preferences. And similarly, there are bold shades f lipsticks you can be wearing other than your conventional nudes, pinks and light browns. And just like the aforementioned shade, Midnight Rose was the first red lipstick which actually suited me. That’s when I realised that I prefer deeper reds with blue undertones on me rather than brighter cherry reds. And if you are a noob to the beautiful world of red lipsticks, this is the one to go for!
