5 Easy Ways To Stay Fit This Festive Season!

During the festive season there are high chances that the kilos are going to add up. We all let go of our healthy lifestyles and give in to all the cravings and eat anything at any time during the day. Working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial so here are 5 exercises and 5 tips to keep the festive weight gain at bay.

1. Double Punch Burpees

Drop down to a plank position, jump back up and punch in front of your face with each hand. Repeat the same for 30 seconds on and 10 seconds off.

2. Russian Twist

Start off with both your feet on the floor and hold a ball or a pillow in front of you. Now twist your torso in order to touch the ball to the ground. Make it a little tougher by balancing your feet in the air and lean back. Girls, it’s not about how fast you go, just make sure your form is correct and your core is tight and engaged. Repeat the same for 30 seconds on and 10 seconds off.

3. Push up to mountain climber

Drop down to a plank position, bring your knees to your elbows and drop down into a push up. Repeat the same for 30 seconds on and 10 seconds off.

4. Curtsy Lunge with overhead press

Take some weights and drop down into a curtsy lunge where your left leg goes all the way to the right side and repeat the same on the other side as well. On your way up, press the weights up over your head. Repeat the same for 30 seconds on and 10 seconds off.

5. Side plank with toe touch

Come up to a side plank and lift your leg up to touch your toes and then bring it forward to touch your toes again. Keep going for 30 seconds and you’re almost done.

So now that we are done with the routine, here are 5 tips to make sure you don’t gain the weight in the first place!

1. Make healthy choices!

So if that aunty tries to stuff your face with butter naan, say no. Reach out for that oil free roti instead!

2. Stay hydrated

Often, we mistake our thirst for hunger and hog on all the food that we see, so keep sipping on water throughout the day.

3. Don’t skip your workouts

Especially with a quick routine like this one, make sure to be consistent!

4. Don’t drink your calories

Make sure that you don’t have heavy milkshakes and falooda at the end of the meal, stick to water!

5. Stay away from leftovers

If you’re having paneer makhani for dinner, it’s okay but if you’re having it again for lunch next day the calories are definitely going to add up.
