Woman Slams Bengaluru Airport Security For Forcing Her To Strip

On Tuesday, a woman alleged that she was forced to remove her shirt while going through the checkpoint at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda international airport. She explained that she was forced to strip for the checking procedures and felt severely humiliated during this process. While narrating this awful experience through a series of tweets, on Twitter. She questioned the intentions of the airport security at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda international airport as she asked why the Bengaluru airport needs a woman to strip.

She also added that this was thoroughly humiliating for her. In fact, she also added that she ended up getting a lot of weird and unwanted attention because she had to strip and stand at the security checkpoint while she was wearing only a thin camisole.

The woman identified as Krishani Gadhvi, a student and musician. In a now-deleted tweet, she said “I was asked to remove my shirt at Bengaluru airport during security check. It was really humiliating to stand there at the security checkpoint wearing just a camisole and getting the kind of attention you’d never want as a woman. @BLRAirport: Why would you need a woman to strip?”

Soon, the authorities from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda international airport got back to her. They mentioned the fact that they deeply regret the hassle caused to her. They also highlighted the issue to their operations team and security team managed by CISF (Central Industrial Security force), which is a Government sovereign.

Furthermore, they even asked her to message them in person to get the issue resolved at the earliest. They have also reportedly assured Krishani Gadhvi that they will check the CCTV footage to manage the situation. People have also reacted to this on Twitter.

People have mentioned the fact that it isn’t clear where Krishani Gadhvi was travelling. People don’t even know if she was travelling domestically or internationally. Furthermore, even her Twitter account has been removed which is highly unfair. We aren’t sure what happened but we can only hope that she is doing alright.
