Vaibhavi Upadhyaya AKA Jasmine From Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai Dies In A Car Accident, JD Majethia Confirms News

It is with a very heavy that I write this that actress Vaibhavi Upadhyaya has passed away. The actress who was prominently known for her role as Jasmine Mavani in the hit sitcom Sarabhai VS Sarabhai breathed her last on May 23, 2023. She was in her mid-thirties. The news of her demise was confirmed by Jamnadas Majethia who was the producer of Sarabhai VS Sarabhai.

Jamnadas Majethia took to his Twitter to share this sad piece of news with the world. He write that Vaibhavi Upadhyaya was his dear friend has passed away. He also informed that she met with an accident in the north and that her family will be bringing her body back to Mumbai for her last rites at around 11 AM on May 24.
Life is so unpredictable.

In an interview with The Times Of India, JD Majethia expressed his shock over Vaibhavi Upadhyaya’s demise. He called her a ‘good soul’ and a ‘terrific actress’ who did not get her due in the acting industry. Majethia also said Vaibhavi was full of life and zen. He could believe the unpredictability of life.

JD Majethia also shared details on the accident and said that the accident took place in Chandigarh. Vaibhavi Upadhyaya was in her car with her fiance when the vehicle slipped into a valley while taking a turn. Majethia went on to inform that upon hearing this news, her brother has rushed to Chandigarh.

Vaibhavi Updhayay played the iconic character of Jasmine Mavani from Kathiyawad in the second season of Sarabhai VS Sarabhai. She also was a part of shows like CID and Adaalat.
