Maharashtra Women’s Commission Asks Mumbai Police To Consider Uorfi Javed’s Security Demand
She deserves protection!
Uorfi Javed is known for her unique sense of style and DIY fashion. She has always been bold and open as she presents her truest self to the public. We believe this is what makes her so special and unique. However, it seems like this bothers a lot of people. Chitra Wagh, the chief of BJP’s women’s wing, had filed a complaint against Uorfi Javed because she was dressing in an improper manner and then parading in public spaces. This ended up putting Uorfi Javed at a huge risk and hence, Urfi spoke up about feeling unsafe in public spaces.

This made her reach out to the Mumbai police for help. Uorfi has also reached out to Rupali Chakankar, the chairperson of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women, for aid in the matter. In a letter of complaint submitted to the MSCW, Uorfi claimed that Chitra Wagh had only filed a complaint against her for the sake of political mileage. This honestly makes sense given the fact that Uorfi’s fashion choices don’t actually hurt ‘public sentiments’, do they?

Uorfi Javed also mentioned that the matter didn’t stop there; Chitra Wagh had also threatened her. Chitra allegedly mentioned that she would beat Uorfi as she interacted with the media. This has made Uorfi feel completely unsafe outside her home. This lack of a personal sense of security is unfair and it puts the influencer at a major risk.

As a response to this request, the Maharashtra State Commission for Women reached out to the Mumbai Police and asked them to look into Uorfi Javed’s request for security and make sure that her request is taken seriously. This is a great source of aid because it will allow Uorfi to protect herself against the BJP leader and her supporters.
