Another similar incident has surfaced in which a UK woman alleged that she was followed and stalked by a man during her solo travel in Odisha. The woman has alleged that the man only stopped when she made it obvious that she was on a video call. Read here for more about it.
UK Woman Alleges Stalking
The UK woman whose Instagram account goes by the name Amy On The Move shared the traumatising experience of being stalked by a man during her solo travel in Odisha. The incident happened in Bhadrak, and in an interview with Hindustan Times, the British content creator spoke at length about the incident that unfolded when she was solo jogging in Odisha. The woman revealed that the man only stopped following her when she pretended to be on a video call. Amy further revealed that she had been solo travelling in Asia, Africa and Latin America as a creator for the last four years, and added that the traumatic incident led her to cancel her solo cycling plans in the country. The creator also alleged that she made it clear that she was on a video, and her friend also got a screenshot of the man, and then the man left. The creator feared she would have been attacked by the man as she was alone.
The creator reportedly had planned to travel from Kolkata to Kerala and see the rural beauty of the country; however, the incident led her to cancel the plan because she did not feel safe to continue with it.

As a woman, I can completely relate to this fear and the scary thoughts that would have occurred to her in that exact moment. Sadly, we are unable to create a safe environment for women.
