The Twisha Sharma death case has been alarming in many ways. The 33-year-old woman, an actor and model, was allegedly found hanging at her in-laws’ house. The CBI took the victim’s husband, Samarth, and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, into custody. As per the latest developments on the case, the witness has alleged that Samarth’s friends assaulted him. Read here to know more about the updates.
Witness Allegations
According to news reports, a witness named Neeraj Dubey has made shocking allegations during the Special Investigation Team’s punchanama. As per the witness, he was allegedly assaulted and beaten by Samarth’s friends. Samarth, husband of Twisha Sharma, is one of the main accused in the case. He further claimed that Samarth’s friends not only assaulted him but also threatened to kill him if he did not back out from testifying in the case. According to the reports, Neeraj Dubey has sought police protection and strong action against the accused following the alleged incident. As per Neeraj Dubey, the incident happened on May 30, and he also claimed that the assault was recorded on camera.
Judicial Custody
As per The Times of India report, CBI has sought no further custody of Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh and husband Samarth. Therefore, the reports suggest that the court is more likely to send the two accused to judicial custody.
Giribala Singh’s Statements
CBI questioned Giribala Singh over the cases. As per a report by Republic, Giribala Singh did not give any statement or clear information on the injuries found on Twisha Sharma’s body in the second postmortem. The mother-son duo extensively stressed the mental health issues that Twisha Sharma was allegedly going through, as per the reports.
Twisha Sharma’s second postmortem took place after the family’s request. Later, Giribala Singh’s anticipatory bail plea was cancelled by the court. The country is waiting for justice, and we hope that it is served.
