Twisha Sharma’s death case has been an eye-opener on so many levels. The case has become a huge part of the social media discourse as well. The two accused held in the matter are Twisha’s husband, Samarth and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. The two are in judicial custody and are being questioned about the case. Accused Denied VIP Treatment

The Bhopal jailer has finally addressed the speculations around Giribala Singh and Samarth receiving VIP treatment in jail. According to the official, the accused are not getting any such preferential treatment, and they are simply going about their usual jail routine. Giribala Singh has been placed in the cell of the women’s medical ward; however, this is only as per the court’s directions. As per the news reports, Twisha’s mother-in-law has received standard jail bedding, food and utensils as per the rules.

Deputy Jailer Transferred

As per The Indian Express report, the Deputy Jailer who was accused and speculated of giving Giribala Singh and Samarth VIP treatment has been transferred, according to the Bhopal Jail officials. This move was specifically taken after the public speculations and allegations about the VIP treatment.

As per the recent updates on the case, there have reportedly been many delays in recovering and securing the evidence from the crime scene. The reports suggest that CBI will also question the MP police regarding the significant loopholes in the investigation. Giribala Singh’s lawyers have denied the allegation of leaking any CCTV footage in the media, particularly the one where Twisha’s body is being carried down the stairs by Samarth and other men.
