Court Rejects Girbala Singh’s Bail Plea
The latest update on the Twisha Sharma death case is that the Madhya Pradesh court has quashed retired judge Girbala Singh’s anticipatory bail plea. The plea to cancel the anticipatory bail plea of Twisha’s mother-in-law was filed by her family. The case was heard by Justice Devnarayan Mishra, and it came after an FIR filed by the CBI under several sections of dowry and cruelty, among others. The State’s advocate argued that the sessions court had granted the bail plea way before the case and the investigation began.
Supreme Court’s Hearing
As per The Hindu report, the Twisha Sharma death case hearing was presided over by the Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi, and the bench assured that the probe into the matter would be fair and impartial. The court has also asked the media to refrain from taking and publishing statements from the parties involved in the case, and has also asked the families to record their statements before the right authorities.
CBI Reaches Garibala Singh’s House
As per the latest updates, after the rejection of Garibala Singh’s anticipatory bail plea, the CBI has reached her house, as per an ANI report.

Injuries On Twisha Sharma’s Body
The second postmortem report suggests that there were some antemortem injuries on Twisha Sharma’s body. The CBI’s initial findings also suggest that the victim was mentally harassed over dowry.
Currently, Twisha’s husband, Samarth, is in police custody and is being questioned on the matter. He was absconding for several days before surrendering to the police.
