The Twisha Sharma death case is getting twisted with each passing day. CBI is investigating the case, and a few days back, the victim’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh and husband, Samarth, were taken into custody. Accused Sent To Judicial Custody
Samarth and Giribala Singh were in CBI custody earlier. The agency questioned the mother-son duo and recreated the crime scene. However, they did not extend their custody. They would take custody if it is required. Therefore, according to a recent report by The Hindu, the Bhopal court has sent Giribala Singh and Samarth to 14 days’ judicial custody until June 16.
Witness’s Harassment Accusation
As per the various news reports, a witness named Neeraj Dubey alleged that he was assaulted and beaten by the accused Samarth’s friends. They also threatened him with serious consequences if he did not back out of testifying, according to the witness. The video of the assault has reportedly been caught on camera. As per India Today, the video allegedly showed some men with sticks trying to threaten him and abuse him in a marketplace. The witness reportedly sought police protection.
CBI had recreated the crime scene at ex-judge Giribala Singh’s residence. As per the agency, the mother-in-law did not give any particular statements on the various injury marks found on Twisha Sharma’s body after the second postmortem. Currently, all the digital evidence is being sent to the forensic department for more information on the case.
