The conversation in this audio is allegedly between Twisha’s mother-in-law and her brother, Major Harshit Sharma. In the audio, Harshit is allegedly heard questioning Girbala Singh about her questions to Twisha over her past relationships with men. The woman is heard defending herself and responding that she has spoken to Twisha about her intimacy with other men. Girbala Singh goes on to suggest that Twisha Sharma alleged that her husband had called her ‘Prostitute’, but she refused to believe that. The mother-in-law further talks about how some people sell their body to earn money, or their brain to earn money, but some sell their body to climb the social ladder. She further justifies her questions to Twisha, saying that she wanted to know if Twisha would continue having relationships with multiple partners, as she had many relationships before marriage. According to her, Twisha had accepted that.
Throughout the audio, Twisha Sharma was having a hard time comprehending how the mother-in-law could ask such humiliating questions to her daughter-in-law and feel that it was completely okay to do so. However, Girbala Singh continues to question why he was hurt by it as it was normal, and she would ask these things to her daughter also. The court also denied the family’s request to have a second postmortem.
