Actor-turned-politician Vijay Thalapathy recently made headlines for his personal life. His wife Sangeetha had filed for a divorce at a local court. The plea was filed in February, and some controversies also surfaced after this news made headlines. Has TN’s Wife Withdrawn The Divorce Plea?
Vijay Thalapathy’s wife Sangeetha had filed the divorce plea in February. According to an India Today report, Sangeetha has now filed a withdrawal plea at the local court. The plea was heard over a video conference, and she expressed her wish to no longer pursue the case. As per the news reports, there were no objections raised by the court, and the permission to withdraw the case was granted. However, the court has also given Sangeetha the freedom to file a fresh plea whenever she wanted to.
Why Was The Divorce Filed?
According to the news reports, the divorce plea was filed by Sangeetha on grounds that her husband, Vijay Thalapathy, had an extra-marital affair with a female actor; however, the name of the person in question was not mentioned. The divorce plea also alleged that her husband kept her away from social life and was often seen with the female actor instead of his wife. She also alleged that the change in behaviour and the appearances with the female star also brought shame to their children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Sasha.
