Some new and of course, questionable bans have been dictated by the Taliban leader in Afghanistan. As per the new ban by leader Hibatullah Akhundzada, house owners, construction agencies and Municipal authorities have been asked to not construct windows in buildings which overlook an area that has women. Taliban Leader Imposes New Ban In Afghanistan
As per the new ban by the Taliban leader, people in Afghanistan are prohibited from having windows overlooking a neighbourhood that is frequently visited by women. The house owners who have such windows are ordered to cover them with a wall. The same rule has been applied to all the new buildings that are going to be constructed. Municipal authorities and construction owners have been strictly asked to adhere to this new rule. As per the reports, the new ban has been imposed to protect a woman’s privacy and keep her safe from any kind of harm.
As per another ban, the NGOs in Afghanistan have also been restricted from recruiting female employees. Well, the Taliban rule has already banned women from many other jobs, now NGOs have also been added to the list. The rule comes given many women not wearing the Islamic headscarf properly. The Taliban rule has decided to cancel the registration of many NGOs that recruit women in their organisation.
The Taliban government has already imposed tons of restrictions on the Afghanistani women. They are not allowed to study beyond the sixth grade, the marriage age of women was brought down to 9 and the women are not allowed so many jobs, even moving around alone.
