Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody!
According to a report by India Today, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary have been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a Pune court on Thursday. After their police custody ended, the two were presented before the judicial magistrate First Class A.M. Vibhute. Seeking a three-day extension of police custody, the prosecution argued that the chats recovered from Siya and Chetan’s mobile phones featured coded language and symbols that required more interrogation to decipher the conversation. However, the counsel for the accused opposed the plea, stating that the police were given sufficient time to investigate and that more custodial interrogation was unwarranted. The court rejected the prosecution’s plea after hearing both sides and remanded Siya and Chetan to judicial custody until July 16.

This comes after Siya Goyal raised many eyebrows for another controversial reason. As per the media reports, the accused was being escorted by the Pune Rural police to her residence in the city’s Market Yard area. During the same, the police reportedly recovered the clothes she wore on the day of the alleged crime. Once the authorities were done with it, she was escorted out of the premises during which she allegedly flashed her middle finger at the media waiting outside.
For the unversed, Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal, who were engaged, visited the Lohagad Fort in Pune on the morning of June 18. Siya reportedly called Ketan’s mother at around 10:45 am, claiming that he had fallen into a gorge. The case that was first believed to be an accident raised his family’s suspicions, after which a police complaint was filed. As the investigation unfolded, it was reportedly revealed that Siya and Chetan Chaudhary had allegedly been planning to murder Ketan.
