Each day, India wakes up to a new confession in the Shraddha Walker murder case by the prime accused, Aaftab Ameen Poonawala. The horrifying revelations, in this case, are disturbing and bone-chilling. The Delhi police have put their blood and sweat to extract every little piece of information from the accused and collect necessary evidence. In a recent update on the case, Aaftab has confessed to killing Shraddha Walker, “in the heat of the moment”. Here’s more on the case till now.
Aaftab Ameen Poonawala is currently under the custody of the Delhi Police, who have asked for an extension of custody. The alleged accused was presented before Saket Court via a video call. The alleged accused called it an impulsive killing and also said that the most of things that are being told about him are not true. Aaftab has promised the court to cooperate with the police and give them accurate information but has also expressed about not recalling certain details because it’s been a long.
Progress In The Investigation By Delhi Police
The Delhi Police have asked for an extension on his custody as they intend to take Aaftab to two locations for further investigation. The police have got the sketch of two ponds by Aaftab, where they hope to find more body parts. Till now, they have recovered 18 body parts of Shraddha Walker, including the base of the skull and jaw. Some were found on Sunday, November 20. The team is currently waiting for the DNA results.

The Delhi police are yet to recover the saw and blade, Aaftab used to chop off Shraddha Walker’s body. They failed twice to find them on the spot mentioned by Aaftab which was in DLF phase 3. However, the police did collect some sharp objects from his flat which they think might have been used by Aaftab to chop off the body. They also collected heavy black polythene from the alleged culprit’s office. As per the police, since they are no witnesses, the entire case depends on forensic evidence and circumstantial evidence. As per the news, the police are still trying to find the key evidence in the case.
