Forensic Report Confirms Mortal Remains From Mehrauli Jungle Are Of Shraddha Walkar

On May 18, the 27-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her live-in boyfriend Aaftab Amin Poonawala, and her body was chopped into 35 pieces. In the latest update, the forensic reports of the mortal remains recovered by the police from a jungle in the Mehrauli area confirm that they are of Shraddha Walkar.
A forensic analysis report, which was submitted on Wednesday, found that some of the mortal remains that were recovered by the Delhi Police from several locations are that of Shraddha. According to the reports, DNA extracted from some of those bones matched with that of Shraddha’s father.
Vikas Walkar, father Shraddha Walkar said that Aaftab Amin Poonawala should be punished the same way he killed his daughter. In a press conference, he demanded a proper investigation of the murder case and said Poonawala should be hanged to death. Furthermore, he went on to question the “freedom” that young people get after they turn 18, he mentioned that it should be given more thought. Demanding action against some mobile applications, he said that those apps create trouble.
He added that there should be counselling and control over children who turn 18. While talking about Shraddha, Vikas Walkar said that his daughter told him that she was an adult when she left the home, which is why he is recommending counselling. He also said that in a conversation with his daughter, he told her not to stay with Aaftab Amin Poonwala as he is not from their community but she refused to do so.
