Namita Thapar Has ‘No Regrets’ About Not Investing In THIS Brand
Kaafi boss lady response!

Shark Tank India is back with its second season and the show has created a buzz amongst the audience already. The premiere episode of Shark Tank India season 2 created a stir among the audience who thought that Shark Namita Thapar did not speak politely to Dheeraj Bansal and Rahul Sachdeva, the entrepreneurs of Recode makeup brand. Twitter was abuzz with people talking about how they found the reasons the Sharks gave to not invest in Recode as ‘stupid’. Namita has responded by tweeting about how she is entitled to her own values and opinions and also that she has no regrets about the same.

Namita Thapar’s response
Taking to the micro-blogging site, the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, wrote that being a ‘shark’ does not mean that she is not entitled to her values and cannot speak candidly. She also wrote that if she does not invest in her fellow ‘shark’s’ competitive brand, she has no regrets about it either. Namita Thapar also wrote that she’s just being herself when she calls out the toxicity of ignorant people.
Being a shark doesn’t mean we are not entitled to our independent values & speaking candidly so if I don’t invest in a fellow sharks competition, that’s me, no regrets & if I call out toxicity & don’t join the ignorant that celebrate people w lack of integrity.. that’s me :)

The Shark Tank India judges faced a backlash from people online after they refused to invest in Recode makeup brand because they are a competition to Vineeta Singh’s Sugar Cosmetics. People have found this move unfair and have also called the judges out for making fun of Dheeraj and Rahul when they were pitching their brand.
One of them wrote that Shark Tank is not the platform to display friendship and ‘vested interest’. Another wrote that they are sure Recode makeup will surpass Sugar Cosmetics in five years. A lot of people also wrote that the second season is quite dramatic and that is not what they expected it to be.
Not investing in a start-up (even if it's making profits better than your frnd's company) is not a fair play.
It's like you are not willing to support the upcoming startups just because of some vested interest. If that's what you want to do as a shark

Why You are allowing them to participate in the show?
Don't waste their time & don't show ur friendships on stage.
Show it in real life not in reel life.!!!#sharktank— Dr. Omprakash Ashokrao Deshmukh (@dromdeshmukh77) January 3, 2023
Recode makeup deserved better than this. 15 cr FYI 21-22 with 6% PAT. You kidding me? Making stupid faces and laughing on founders? Horrible. I bet you this brand will beat Sugar cosmetics in 5 years.#SharkTankIndiaS2

In first episode of shark tank S2, some sharks refused brand Recode in order to safeguard their relation with their friends. This denial was unfair unless it is not due to a flaw in their business model, vision
Missed @Ashneer_Grover @SonyLIV #SharkTankIndiaS2 #Entrepreneur— Namrata Shubham Mittal (@ShubhamNamrata) January 3, 2023
Hey @SonyTV change the name of the program #SharkTankIndiaS2 to Bhaichara tank.. just because someone is from the same sector .. the so called investors don't invest in that startup and try to sabotage their business.. what bunch insecured jokers

Not investing in #recode by sharks in #SharkTankIndiaS2 due to friendship is really low and anti-entrepreneurial!
Seems like directed and scripted by EktaKapoor

#Recode Indian entrepreneurs are raw and good at hustle. You are not investing just because your "friend" is into that business. please change the name from #SharkTankIndiaS2 to #Sharkfriends @SonyLIV. We are really missing @Ashneer_Grover who can look beyond this BS.
