“This News Is Wrong,” Sakshi Malik Issues Clarification On Withdrawal From Wrestlers Protest After Meeting Amit Shah

Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia are the three Indian wrestlers who started protests against the WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on the sexual harassment allegations. However, now there are many reports that claim Sakshi Malik has withdrawn her support from the movement but the wrestler has dismissed these claims. The wrestler recently issued a clarification to inform that she continues to fight for justice while simultaneously fulfilling her responsibilities as a railway employee.

A few hours after the wrestlers met Home Minister Amit Shah, Sakshi Malik’s decision to withdraw from the protest made headlines. However, the wrestler issued a clarification about her decision. Sharing the picture of news about her withdrawal from the movement, Sakshi Malik firmly denied it. She wrote that the no wrestlers will move an inch back from their journey to get justice. Sakshi Malik further stated that along with the revolutionary movement, she will also fulfil her role as a responsible citizen by doing the railway job. She firmly stated that the ongoing protests will continue and also requested the media to refrain from spreading misinformation.

Many media reports informed about Home Minister Amit Shah’s meeting with Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat. The wrestlers also put forth their demand for a chargesheet on the WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. However, news reports claim that the wrestlers did not get a satisfactory response from Amit Shah. He asked the protestors to trust the justice system, as per the news.

The wrestlers had also decided to immerse their medals as a part of their protests, however, the decision was intervened by the farmer leader Naresh Tikait. We just hope to see the light of justice soon in this matter.
