Inder Kaur Death Case Details
Punjabi singer Inder Kaur, who was 29 at the time of her death, was found dead near the Neelo Canal on Tuesday. As per News 18, her brother Jotinder Singh’s police complaint report mentioned that she left her house on May 13 to buy groceries in her car but never returned. The family suspects Sukwinder Singh, who had allegedly been obsessively pressuring the singer to marry him. Police suspect that Sukhwinder traveled from Canada to Punjab through Nepal just to allegedly murder her. The suspect, along with his accomplice, is believed to have allegedly intercepted Inder’s car and kidnapped her at gunpoint before committing the murder. It is also believed that after murdering her, he fled to Canada through the same route. The media reports also mentioned that Inder and Sukwinder became friends after connecting on Instagram three years ago. When she found out that he was already married with children, the singer reportedly severed ties and turned down his marriage proposal.

Inder Kaur’s family has reportedly questioned the police handling of this case. They mentioned that an FIR against accused Sukhwinder Singh and his associate Karamjit Singh was registered on May 15 at Jamalpur Police Station, but the timely action from the authorities’ end could have potentially saved the singer. The police moved the body to the mortuary of the Civil Hospital in Samrala for a postmortem examination.
