The Pahalgam Terror attack that took the lives of 26 innocent people was a shock that Indians are still grieving. However, the authorities and Indian armed forces have now shown their zero tolerance for terrorism. On Wednesday, the Indian Army destroyed 9 terror camp bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir to hold the perpetrators accountable for their unforgivable actions. However, in the press release, the Ministry of Defence also stated that no harm was done to the Pakistan Military Area. The “focused strikes” on these 9 terrorist camp bases hold a lot of significance. These are the base camps of some of the most dangerous terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohabbat and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The LeT base camp in Muridke is an important training centre that is spread across 82 acres. As per a Hindustan Times report, this base also has arms and physical training facilities, and a terrorist like Ajmal Kasab had also received his intelligence training at this facility. The Jaish-e-Mohammad base camp in Bahalwapur, Pakistan, is the main facility of this terror group, and many young people are trained here. As per the news report, the terrorists responsible for the Pulwama attack received training at this very camp. Another JeM camp in Shakargarh, Pakistan, is the facility from which the infiltration of terrorists happens inside Jammu and Kashmir.

The terror bases in Kotli, PoK are also important facilities for the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
