We haven’t forgotten the traumatising visuals of a young man being stabbed in a Mumbai local train. The videos that went viral on social media sent chills across the Nation, and everyone just had one question: “What is happening?” The accused, identified as Roshan Suvarna, was arrested by the Mumbai police within a few hours of the incident. According to the latest updates on the same, the police have now filed a chargesheet against the accused. Read on to know more about it.
Police Files Chargesheet in Mumbai Train Stabbing Case
As per a report by Times of India, the Government Railway Police has filed a 1100-page chargesheet in the stabbing case of a 21-year-old boy. The accused in this case, Roshan Suvarna, allegedly stabbed the boy several times after an argument over keeping the train door open in heavy Mumbai monsoon. The chargesheet was filed before a local magistrate, and it includes statements from 68 witnesses. As per the report, there are 6-7 witnesses in the case who were present during the crime; they have also claimed that the accused was visibly drunk when the incident happened. The eyewitnesses also recalled how the horrifying incidents unfolded, and said that Roshan Suvarna first started the fight, and the victim acted in defence. Furthermore, they also added that the accused later took out a big knife and stabbed the boy in his abdomen and chest.
In the chargesheet, the police have also requested a special prosecutor for the case considering the seriousness of the crime. They have also asked for a fast-track trial.

According to the reports, the murder weapon was found in a lane outside Borivali station, and the accused was arrested from Panvel while he was trying to run from the city.
