‘KKBKKJ’ Song ‘Let’s Dance Chotu Motu’: Twitter Says “Bollywood Is Stealing Kids Poems Now!”

Salman Khan is gearing up to give his fans a treat on Eid as he does each year with the release of his films. This year, the film is titled Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and if this title does not make you feel the onset of a migraine, the names of the songs from the film surely will.  The songs from the film are titled ‘Billi Billi’, ‘O Balle Balle’, (the entire film sounds like an example of Alliteration!) ‘Naiyo Lagda’ and ‘Yentamma’. These were still bearable but the latest track from the film which is released is absolutely not. Because the song itself is titled ‘Lets Dance Chotu Motu’, and the lyrics are nothing but a compilation of nursery rhymes!

Twitter users were just as shocked as I am after they heard the ‘Lets Dance Chotu Motu’ song from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Interestingly, one of the singers for the song is Salman bhai himself and the rap is penned by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Tweeple went on to question how people have lost all originality when it comes to writing lyrics (we established this quite some time back) to literally asking what the f*** is this!

As Newton as each action has an equal opposite reaction, similarly, there were people on the internet who found this horrendous song to be enjoyable. They justified the lyrics by saying that kids will now be able to memorise rhymes easily with the help of this song. Arey, but they have Cocomelon for it. Why would any parent make their kid listen to Salman Khan’s songs to learn rhymes?

This one tweet is going to live in my mind rent-free because the person who write it described the Lets Dance Chotu Motu song as ‘enthralling’!

Is there no creativity left in the lyricists of today who have to resort to nursery rhymes to use in their songs? I am at a loss of words to even criticise this ‘Lets Dance Chotu Motu’ song. On top of it, the choreography of the song is pathetic. Chalo, you can leave all that aside as well. But height and body shaming in a song that is supposedly made for kids to enjoy? Is this what the makers want the kids to learn alongside rhymes? But before I end this piece, I wanted to know what forced Pooja Hegde to be a part of this stupid track. Aisi kya majboori this, behen?
