She reportedly committed su*cide after years of domestic abuse by her husband, which is also shown in multiple clips from CCTV cameras. Read to know more about what happened.

Brut India reported that a 36-year-old Anu Meena from Jaipur committed su*cide after years of repeated abuse by her husband Gautam in their home. Multiple CCTV clips showed him dragging her on the floor and hitting her with his shoe, which has shocked the internet. In other clips, he was seen smashing household items like the TV in anger while his young son watched. The mother of two video-called her husband Gautam on April 7, before her demise.
More than a month later, Gautam was arrested by the police for abetment to su*cide after videos from her phone came online. Meena was seen crying on the floor while her son saw his father beating her. This comes right after the horrifying case of Twisha Sharma, who also reportedly passed away due to dowry harassment. Anu Meena’s brother reportedly stated that the repeated abuse against his sister had been happening since her marriage in 2015 due to dowry harassment.

Her two children also revealed that their father often came home drunk and beat their mother. In one video, the young son was seen offering water to his mother after abuse from Gautam. This clip broke everyone online and triggered major backlash online. Such repeated cases must not be taken lightly by any of us. Domestic abuse is often caused by patriarchal attitudes, and this must stop. We cannot imagine getting beaten up inside our own homes and in front of young kids. We urge the authorities to look into it.
