Iran’s Football Player Who Advocated For Women’s Rights Reportedly Sentenced To Execution
What is happening!

Iran has been doing any and everything to curb the Anti-hijab protests happening in the country. The country’s administration received severe backlash after the death of Mahsa Amini who reportedly died at the hands of the morality police. However, now reports claim, that in an effort to stop the voices supporting women, an Iranian footballer is facing execution for merely campaigning for women’s rights.
On December 13, it was reported that an Iranian football player by the name of Amir Nasr-Azadani was ordered to be executed for simply supporting and voicing his opinions for the women in the country. He has been punished by the Iranian authorities for advocating women’s rights in the country, as per the news.
The footballer organisation FIFPro condemned the whole situation in its latest tweet. They demanded for the punishment be taken back. The organisation also expressed shock that just for supporting basic human rights for women, Amir Nasr-Azadani was being punished. They showed their solidarity with the footballer. During the FIFA World Cup 2022, Iran’s national football team also showed their protests against their country’s administration by not singing the national anthem.

It is really sad to see that the Iranian government absolutely fails to understand the wants and needs of its citizen. It’s been so long since women are fighting for their rights, yet instead of being heard, they are being repressed. We hope to see them get justice!
