Gwyneth Paltrow Cleared Of Charges In 2016 Ski Accident, Wishes Terry Sanderson Well Before Leaving Court

The Gwyneth Paltrow court trial has seemingly come to an end after much drama. The actress was embroiled in a lawsuit concerning her 2016 skiing accident wherein the 76-year-old optometrist, Terry Sanderson, was suing her for $300,00. Paltrow and Sanderson both claim that it was the other person who crashed into them, while the latter also went ahead to say that he sustained a lasting brain injury due to the accident. There was much drama in the court, and the accounts of both parties about who crashed into whom did not quite fit the order. But all said and done, the ruling has fallen in the favour of Gwyneth Paltrow who was proven not guilty by the court.

As per reports, the jury has found Terry Sanderson guilty and held him accountable for the 2016 ski accident, and said that it was he who crashed into Gwyneth Paltrow. They have found him guilty of ‘comparative negligence’. Interestingly, the Goop founder counter-sued Sanderson for $1 and her legal fee which she was granted.

After the hearing, the Iron man actress also went to talk to Terry Sanderson, and reportedly wished him well. He felt disappointed over how the trial took place and was not happy with the outcome of it because he told the media that the trial was not about the facts of the case. He also said that Paltrow and her team said some untrue things in court about his life. Whereas, Paltrow’s lawyer told media outlets outside the court that she ‘advocates’ what she believes in and will stand up for the right things.

Terry Sanderson claimed that Gwyneth Paltrow crashed into him hard while skiing which caused him to break four of his rib bones, and also sustained a brain injury. Talking about Paltrow’s negligence, he said that she simply walked away after the accident.

Twitter is also having a field day making memes about the trial because they think this is the most ‘whitest’ lawsuit ever. Many have also gone ahead to call her arrogant and ignorant for the way she dressed up for each of her hearings. Not just that, many have also pointed out how Terry Sanderson’s attorney, Kristin VanOrman was complimenting Paltrow on her height and outfits.

Celebrity courtroom trials are indeed dramatic, aren’t they?
