N Valarmathi was the voice behind many missions launched at ISRO but her final was the Chandrayaan-3. A few days back, India celebrated the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s south pole and became the first-ever country to do so. However, we have recently got a piece of very sad news from the former director of ISRO. On August 3, Dr P V Venkitakrishnan took to his Twitter account to inform us about the sudden demise of N Valarmathi. the voice behind the Chandrayaan-3 mission. He also informed me that Chandrayaan-3 was the last countdown of N Valarmathi. As per the media reports, N Valarmathi’s sudden demise was due to a cardiac arrest on August 2, Saturday. During her last days, she was in Chennai. However, she was a native of Tamil Nadu, Ariyalur.

N Valarmathi’s sudden passing away was mourned by Twitter users. Apart from ISRO’s famous voice, she also contributed to the organisation’s other projects as a project director. A recipient of the Abdul Kalam Award given to her by the Tamil Nadu government, N Valarmathi’s absence will be greatly felt at ISRO.
