Twitter Milks Jokes From Animal Welfare Ministry’s Circular Of Declaring Feb 14 As Cow Hug Day!
This is really not necessary!

Valentine’s week and the main V-Day only excite those who are in a relationship or are wooing someone. Baaki single log toh don’t care if it is Rose Day or roz wala normal day! Also, single people will not enjoy their single status in peace, they will go on to social media platforms to ruin the fun for those celebrating these days. As Uday bhai from Welcome rightly said, “Jalta hai, saala!” Well, it looks like the government could not see the plight of single people anymore, and has come up with a unique solution so to drive away their Valentine’s Day FOMO. The Animal Welfare Board has urged people throughout the nation to observe February 14 as Cow Hug Day! See, singles? You’ll can have fun, too, that day!
The circular released by the Animal Welfare Board has gone viral on social media. The secretary of the board wrote in the notice that Vedic traditions have taken a backseat in view of the youth following western culture more. Praising how valuable the cow has been, the circular mentioned that the bovine has been the ‘backbone of Indian culture and economy’.
The notice did not just mention how important the cow is, it also highlight the benefits of hugging one! It mentioned that hugging a cow will fill you with emotional richness and ‘increase your happiness’.
Of course, people on Twitter discussed this notice. With comments on how ridiculous this request from the animal welfare ministry is and discussion on the cow’s consent, there was bhaari charcha on this issue. Take a look at the tweets on Cow Hug Day below.
Forget everything else, tell me how to convey to the #cow 🐄 that we are approaching it to give a hug?
Also how to know that the cow has given its consent for the same?#CowHugDay #ValentinesDay pic.twitter.com/38hvq3BtZg— Bobins Abraham Vayalil (@BobinsAbraham) February 8, 2023
Observe Feb 14 as Cow Hug Day says Animal Welfare Board of India. I condemn it as an act of discrimination against dogs, cats, monkeys, elephants et al🥲

Likely to be lonely on Valentine's Day? The government of India advises you to hug a cow. You can 'decolonise' in the same swift movement.
Cow Hug Day, 14th February. Unclear whether bovine consent is required but you'll find out, no doubt. pic.twitter.com/FsRjaaekpL

This antic request from the government has left the youth in splits! With the fear of the Bajrang Dal looming on couples already, this is another thing they have to fear now. Because you never know some saffron party worker might come up to the couples and forcefully make them hug the cow!
