Everything That Has Happened In Cricketer Prithvi Shaw And Influencer Sapna Gill’s Case So Far

We are living in times when people go crazy over selfies and pictures with celebrities, well that’s not the problem though. The problem comes when they go overboard with their demands are celebs do not want to accept it. Recently cricket player Prithvi Shaw was caught up in this kind of brawl with a fan, who is also well known social media influencer, Sapna Gill. Going by the recent updates on the case, Sapna Gill along with 6 of her friends were taken into police custody in Oshiwara, Mumbai. But what really led to the scene escalating so much?

The whole incident happened on Wednesday, February 15, in front of a hotel in Santacruz, Mumbai. Sapna Gill who was accompanied by a friend name Shobhit Thakur and the duo wanted to take a selfie with the cricketer Prithvi Shaw. As per the cricketer’s friend Ashish Yadav’s police complaint, when the cricketer obliged the duo with a picture, they started asking for more, but Prithvi Shaw denied it. The situation escalated when Shobhit Thakur bought a baseball bat later, followed the cricketer’s car, and attacked it. Sapna Gill and Shobhit Thakur have also been accused of misbehaving with the cricketer at the hotel premises. They have also been charged with a case of blackmailing the cricketer into giving money so as to settle the fight. They threatened to charge him with a fabricated case, as per the news

But on the other hand, the social media influencer’s lawyer claimed that the cricketer was intoxicated and misbehaved with Sapna Gill. He was accused of twisting the woman’s hand while holding the baseball bat. Even some videos of the clash were shared by users on the internet.

Currently, the Oshiwara police have arrested Sapna Gill, Shobhit Thakur and the 6 other members involved in the alleged harassment case of the cricketer. Prithvi Shaw also gave his statement post which the arrest was made.
