“No Prima Facie Case”: Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty’s Advocate Issues Statement After ED Seizes Couple’s Assets In Ponzi Scheme Case!

Things have turned difficult for Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) announced the seizure of their properties worth Rs 97.79 cores. As per reports, the ED has alleged the couple’s involvement in the Ponzi Scam, however, the Shilpa and Raj have continued to deny the allegations. In the latest updates, the ED also stated that the couple collected funds worth 6,600 crore in the Ponzi Scam. In response, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s advocate has also issued a statement.

ED Seizes Properties Of Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty Worth 100 Crores Approximately
On April 18, shocking news made headlines about the alleged involvement of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty in the Ponzi Scam. Enforcement Directorate has taken a strong under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (2002) and has seized many properties and assets of Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra. Overall, the properties are worth 97.79 crores in total, as per the reports. The properties included in this are- a flat in Juhu that is under Shilpa Shetty’s name, some equity shares of Raj Kundra, and also a residential bungalow in Pune.

Allegations By The ED
In its statement to the media, the Enforcement Directorate has revealed that Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have allegedly collected 6000 crores in the form of Bitcoins through the Ponzi Scam. Elaborating on the same, they also mentioned that the alleged accused have acquired the amount by fooling the public after making false promises to them about giving a 10% return in the form of Bitcoins. As per media reports, ED has alleged that promoters have cheated the investors in the Ponzi Scam and that Raj Kundra still possesses Bitcoins worth 150 cores.

What Did Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty Advocate Say?
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s advocate Prashant Patil gave an exclusive statement to HT City and stated that his client will follow the law to take necessary steps to save their properties. He also stated that there is no prima facie given against his client Raj Kundra, and that they trust the process of law. Prashant Patil believes that there will be fair judgment in this case and that they will cooperate with the authorities.
