Amid the investigation of the unfortunate demise of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, police revealed that his fiancée, Siya Goyal, tried calling off her engagement with him. Still, it was Ketan who tried to pursue a relationship with her, despite her objections. As per a report by HT, Siya Goyal told the police that she was not happy about being engaged to Ketan Agarwal and even told him that she didn’t wish to continue this relationship. The 20-year-old reportedly requested that he not go ahead with this marriage, but Ketan insisted on it and remained committed to the wedding preparations despite her saying no. During the interrogation, the police suggested that she was hesitant about marrying her fiancé due to her relationship with her lover. For Siya, eloping was reportedly not an option since her family’s reputation was at stake.

His father stated that the two used to meet frequently after their engagement in February and that his son would often express “concerns” over his fiancée and even asked whether they had verified her properly. The deceased’s father also revealed that the couple used to fight over small things and that she used to spend a lot of time on her phone. The 26-year-old was suspicious about Chetan Chaudhary and even suspected that Siya was in a relationship with him. The boy’s family even insisted on delaying the marriage since she was so young, but it was Goyal’s parents who asked to go ahead with it, since they would not find a match like this again.
