Delhi’s Greater Noida Society Bans Lungis, Nighties For Residents. Invading Privacy, Is it?

It is not normal to hear a society restricting certain dresses for its residents inside the compound. But not to forget, this is India and you should expect unbelievable things! This news is exactly what it is! A society in Delhi’s Noida recently issued a notice to the residents asking them to not wear lungis and nighties while walking inside the compound. This notice was given to society’s people after some complainants raised the issue of facing uncomfortable situations!

A society in Delhi’s Greater Noida made headlines for issuing the most bizarre kind of notice to its residents. In this notice, the sector’s administration asked the residents to refrain from wearing nighties and lungis while exercising or walking inside the compound. The notice was issued soon after some complainants from the society raised the issues of facing uncomfortable and awkward situations after coming across men doing yoga in their lungis. As per reports by Hindustan Times, this one-of-a-kind notice was appreciated by some but also frowned upon by others. Since society was directly restricting a person’s freedom to wear the dress of their choice!

Lungis and nighties are one of the most comfortable choices during summer for men and women especially. But we also agree with the concern that it is not the right attire to perform yoga in! However, entirely banning these dresses from society may be just way too much! Taking away the right from a person to wear dresses they are most comfortable in does not sound like the right decision. However, banning dress codes in India is not something new we hear, right? However, the only difference here is that it also includes MEN!
