DCW Members Visit Delhi Acid Attack Victim, Swati Maliwal Says “It’s Really Painful To See Her Condition”

And today, we got the most shocking news about a boy attacking a 17-year-old girl by throwing acid on her face. This world is becoming a horrible place with each passing day. On Wednesday, the two bike-borne men threw acid at the girl when she was on her way to school with her younger sister. Recently, Swati Maliwal, the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women informed that two members of the organisation visited the girl and her family and mentioned that it is really painful to see her condition.

In a tweet, the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women – Swati Maliwal shared that two members of the organisation visited the acid attack victim and her family at the hospital. She mentioned that it is really painful to see the girl’s condition and assured the family that they will assist them. Maliwal added that her family informed them how acid is sold openly in their locality.

Earlier, she had slammed the Government for not taking action to ban the sale of acid in the country despite the organisation’s protests against it. 

According to the reports, the Delhi Police recently arrested three men for allegedly throwing acid at the 17-year-old girl. Earlier, they had detained one of the accused based on the girl’s statement. The sister of the acid attack victim said that her sister and her father knew both the attackers.

This horrible incident raises questions about women’s safety in our country. We hope strict action will be taken against the culprits.
