Delhi Acid Attack: Main Accused Purchased Acid On Flipkart. How Easy Was It To Buy Such A Dangerous Thing!

The Delhi acid attack has once again raised questions about the easy availability of acids. The substance is supposed to be used in labs for experiments and not be thrown on girls to take revenge on them. But the latest reports about the acid attack have revealed that the man who was the one who threw acid on the 17-year-old schoolgirl near Delhi’s Uttam Nagar purchased the deadly substance online.
As per reports, during the ongoing interrogation of the case, technical evidence proved that the main accused, Sachin Arora, brought the acid from the e-commerce website Flipkart. Arora also made the payment for the purchase through an e-wallet. Sachin Arora has been arrested by the police and the investigation also revealed that he was the victim’s friend and neighbour.
The motive behind Arora throwing acid on the victim was to take revenge has also been revealed. He wanted to take revenge on her as they had broken up a couple of months ago and she had stopped talking to him. The police also said that the girl and the main accused, Arora, were friends with each other until September 2022.
Sachin’s friends, Harshit Aggarwal and Virender Singh also helped him plan this entire crime. Allegedly, Aggarwal had accompanied Arora on the bike to throw acid at the girl while Singh misled the police during the investigation by taking Arora’s mobile phone and his scooter to a different location.

The victim of the acid attack is suffering from eight per cent facial burns. The attack has also affected her eyes, and she is currently admitted to the burn ICU of Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital and is undergoing treatment there. Her condition is stable. Inputs from the officials also reveal that the accused might have used nitric acid to throw at the victim but that can only be confirmed after the forensic examination.
