While all those who are mingled and celebrating the days following up to Valentine’s Day, the Central Government was feeling bad for all the Indian singles out there. So, to make sure they do not feel left out, the Animal Welfare Board has released a circular requesting that February 14, be declared as Cow Hug Day. Meaning, on this day, people are supposed to go hug cows. This news has become the joke of the week right now, as Internet users have already begun milking jokes about it on Twitter. From making bad puns on Cow Hug Day to roasting the singles, there’s a hilarious memefest on Twitter right now!

In the circular that has been doing rounds on social media, the Animal Welfare Board has mentioned the benefits of hugging a cow which include emotional richness and a rise in one’s happiness! This was such an unnecessary move on the government’s part that is it is almost unbelievable that they will come up with something like a Cow Hug Day! Recently, Uma Bharti also tied stray cows outside of liquor shops to oppose the consumption of alcohol!
