But things might be looking up for people of the transgender community. In a latest update, the Aam Aadmi Party’s transgender candidate Bobby Kinnar has won the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections from Sultanpur Majra ward A on December 7. Bobi has defeated BJP candidate Ekta Jatav and Congress candidate Varuna Dhaka to become Delhi’s first ever transgender councillor.
