Indore’s Asmi Jain Creates App That Helps With Eye Injuries, Wins Apple’s Swift Student Challenge!

The world is leaning more and more toward apps and artificial intelligence in various spheres of life. Be it learning, building, healthcare and just about everything else, we have apps that help us with everything and make our lives much easier. And it is also great to see young minds coming up with applications that are indeed made with the intention of being helpful to people. One such app developer is Asmi Jain hailing from Indore who made an app that helps with eye injuries that led her to win the Apple Swift Student Challenge!

What is Asmi Jain’s app about?

As per reports, Asmi Jain participated in the Swift Student Challenge which precedes the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). 375 participants have been declared winners, one of which is Asmi! Asmi Jain is from Indore and is studying at Medi-Caps University in the same city. The app that she has developed is very much useful in cases of eye injuries. This healthcare tracks the user’s eye movements as they track a moving ball on the screen.

Asmi Jain participated in the competition after one of her friend’s uncles was left with misaligned eyes and facial paralysis after brain surgery. Jain is ambitious about her app, and wants it to reach many people through app store downloads. She wants to be helpful with her app, as it helps strengthen the facial muscles. She has been keen on helping people and desires to use coding to provide solutions in the healthcare sector.

What is Apple Swift Student Challenge?

Apple organises this challenge annually where the participants have to create apps by using the Swift coding language only. Apple decided to increase the number of winners from 350 to 375 in a move to encourage people’s creativity.
