This victorious moment was made possible by Annu Rani, India’s Javelin throw player. The good news made headlines on October 3, Tuesday. Congratulations for the star poured in on social media and India hailed her epic victory in the 19th Asian Games.

It’s raining gold for India at the 19th Asian Games, and this is possible only because of our exceptional athletes. Adding to the list of gold medals, Annu Rani won in the javelin throw competition on October 3 with a throw of 62.92 meters. But the list of achievements does not end here, this also became India’s first gold medal in a javelin throw competition and Annu Rani became the first woman to do so! She was also the first Indian woman to win a bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
